Collection: Leashes

When choosing a leash, always think about safety and reliability first, cuteness and color second.

For Puppies, you can get a light weight ribbon leash that you will toss when you upgrade to a heavier, and sturdier leash as they grow.

For adult dogs, start with a great six foot leash, in a color you like. Be sure to check the clips and clasps each time you use your leash, to ensure they aren't wearing down or broken.

For training, you will also want to purchase a "long line." Long lines are leashes that are 25 or more feet long. They can be used for recall training and other long distance training games.

Avoid using retractable leashes. They can be dangerous and they often encourage pulling behavior that can cause difficulties later.
